ETRUSCAN WINERY
Situated within the historical layers of ancient Madytos (present-day Eceabat), in the crossroads of the Hellespont, Etruscan represents a distinctive approach to winemaking—one that embraces viticulture as a story of return.
Named after the Etruscans, who are believed to have migrated from Thrace to Tuscany, the project was inspired by the idea of reconnecting these lands with the grape heritage that, according to historical narratives, once journeyed westward into Europe. Here, the vineyard becomes more than a place of cultivation; it is where a memory carried through migration takes root once again.
Established in 2010, the estate today extends across 100 decares of vineyards, cultivating not only international grape varieties but also Tuscan cultivars such as Sangiovese and Montepulciano. This choice reflects more than a technical decision in winemaking—it represents a conscious desire to complete a historical cycle.
While Etruscan’s winery embraces contemporary production techniques, the visitor experience extends far beyond the cellar through vineyard and winery tours, guided tastings, educational programmes, and immersive stays.
Etruscan’ın şaraphanesi çağdaş üretim teknikleriyle çalışırken, deneyim alanı bağ ve şaraphane gezileri, tadım eğitimleri ve konaklamalı etkinliklerle genişler. Jazz and wine gatherings, together with its signature Winefulness experiences, transform wine tasting into a practice of mindfulness and presence. Here, wine becomes more than a sensory experience; it becomes an intentional encounter.
Within the Troia Wine Route, Etruscan offers a place to rediscover the migration stories that once unfolded across both shores of the Hellespont, retold through the language of the vine. The grape heritage that once travelled across continents finds renewed meaning here, in the very landscape from which its journey began.
At Etruscan, winemaking is more than production—it is an act of remembrance and a conscious reconnection with history.
