The Troia Wine Route began as a dream born of those who carry the legacy of these lands.

The producers who continue to work the vineyards, who live this culture and pass it down from generation to generation – the true bearers of this route – came together and imagined this route so that this heritage could be made visible.

This dream did not remain limited to production alone. It grew with the institutions that reveal, preserve, and tell the memory of these lands.

The Troy Museum stands at the heart of this story as one of the most powerful spaces of narration, carrying thousands of years of history into the present. Through excavations carried out over many years, excavation directors, archaeologists, and researchers continue to bring to light the layered memory of this landscape.

This accumulation is carried into a broader framework through the contributions of local governments and the institutions in Çanakkale that have taken ownership of this heritage.

Each one contributes to this story from its own place. Different contributions, the same purpose…

The Troia Wine Route continues to exist as a shared narrative where those who carry the legacy of these lands and those who add value to this heritage come together.

This route is part of a whole built not only by places, but by the people who know how to live, produce, and read time in these lands.

The people of the vineyard are the oldest storytellers of this story; yet this story is wordless.

Those who know when to prune the vine, what the soil needs, and when the harvest should begin… This knowledge is not merely learned; it is gained through time, experience, and a relationship built with nature.

Those who follow the moment when the vine begins to sprout and the grape ripens, nearing the time to be gathered from the branch, do so by reading the sky, listening to the wind, and sensing the season; for them, the harvest begins not with a calendar, but with a bond formed with nature.

Today, although countless tools and knowledge make every stage of production easier, that ancient and profound knowledge, that intuition, and that memory still continue to live in the same hands.

Everyone who works in the vineyard, harvests the grapes, processes them in the winery, and brings them to the table is part of this story.

This route is not merely a path; it is a flow in which this labor, this knowledge, and this memory passed down from generation to generation become visible.
