The Troia Wine Route was conceived to bring this story and the memory of the land to those who seek to discover it.

Bringing together thousands of years of viticultural tradition, the region’s cultural heritage, and accumulated knowledge of production, it aims to carry this ancient legacy into the future through a contemporary narrative. More than a route connecting historical sites and vineyards, it is a journey that helps preserve and pass on the knowledge, stories, and culture of production rooted in the land itself.

Extending from the Ancient City of Troy to the traces of Maidos, along the shores of Çanakkale and into the vineyards of Bozcaada, the route offers an experience where past and present intertwine.

One of its principal aims is to ensure that this experience reaches wider audiences and gains recognition on both national and international platforms.

Now we invite you to explore this journey that stretches from Homer’s tales to the present day...

The North Aegean is a landscape shaped by thousands of years of viticulture and winemaking, bearing some of the earliest traces of human settlement in history. The enduring culture of production on Bozcaada (ancient Tenedos) and the layered memory accumulated through the centuries in Troy make these lands not only a part of the past, but also a testament to continuity. Troy is not the story of a single era or a single culture; it is a shared human memory that has evolved, transformed, and expanded across successive civilizations.

The people who live, produce, research, and carry this heritage from one generation to the next believed that this story deserved greater visibility.

The Troia Wine Route was conceived from this belief.

This route is more than a path connecting vineyards; it is a narrative that brings to light the layered memory embedded within this landscape.

Thousands of years of viticultural tradition, accumulated knowledge, and cultural heritage become part of a continuum that extends from the past into the present. This route is both an invitation to discover and a reminder to reflect. It is a call to reconnect with humanity’s shared past, its roots, and the living memory that continues to endure within these lands.

The purpose of this route is to reveal the spirit of such an ancient landscape shaped by mythological narratives, to retell it, and to carry it into new experiences.

Our vision was shaped by the desire to offer the chance to feel the memory of this landscape firsthand, among the vineyards and within the wind and the soil. Watching the sunset from a vineyard stretching toward the sea, and drawing closer to the traces of those who gazed upon the same view thousands of years ago, is one of the most simple and powerful experiences this journey offers.

Ensuring that this narrative reaches broader audiences on both national and international levels, and that the continuity of this heritage is preserved, forms the core aim of this route.
